Brooklyn Public Library

Brooklyn Public Library is one way to go... 

(Remember:  you will be a public library patron much longer than you will be a student!) 

The tabs in the box below will guide you through applying for a BPL e-Card, downloading and using the Libby app, and using the resources available from Brooklyn Public Library.

Click here to complete an e-card application.  Once you receive your library e-card number, you will need to download the Libby e-reader app in order to be able to check out e-books and audio books. Click on the next tab in this box for directions on how to download and use the Libby app.

Each of the tabs in the box below contains information on an online reading source outside the Brooklyn Public Library.  These choices include:  ComicsPlus Library Edition, Sora, myON, and Podcasts.

ComicsPlus, Sora and myON each have their own pages on this site.  You can access these pages by clicking on the yellow tabs at the top of this page.

Online Reading Options Outside BPL

NYCDOE students can now access Sora!

Sora provides the quickest and easiest way to read digital books. NYC students can log in using their school credentials and instantly access hundreds of ebooks and audiobooks on virtually any device. New York City Department of Education's digital collection is available 24/7 - all you need to get started is an internet connection and your school login. Begin your next reading adventure with just a tap!
